Fourth of July Fireworks

Celebrate Independence Day in Fishers with three different shows around the city, including at the NPD AMP, Cyntheanne Park (12383 Cyntheanne Road) and over Geist Reservoir. Learn more at playfishers.com 

  • Nickel Plate District: View this show throughout downtown and the Nickel Plate District! Fireworks will be launched from Holland Park, which will be closed for safety. 
  • Cyntheanne Park: View this show from the Cyntheanne Park or HSE Intermediate/Jr. High parking lots! Fireworks will be launched from Cyntheanne Park. 
  • Geist Reservoir: View this show on the water! While no viewing will be permitted from Fall Creek Bridge or Geist Marina, find a great spot on the water in a boat or from a nearby residence. Fireworks will be launched near the south end of the Fall Creek Bridge, from a barge in Geist Marina. The bridge will not be closed to traffic, but the pedestrian walkway on the bridge will be closed for safety.

Community Center Announcement

The City of Fishers announced plans to build the new, 105,000- square-foot Fishers Community Center at Johnson Farms on Hoosier Road near 121st Street. The center will offer both memberships and day passes, with discounts for Fishers residents. It will also feature free amenities accessible to both residents and non-residents, including a large indoor playground, indoor track, and café, as well as multiple accessibility features such as adult companion care rooms, a zero-entry pool, and more. The project is anticipated to break ground this fall and open in spring 2025. Learn more at ThisIsFishers.com/CommunityCenter.

Monsoon Madness

Beat the heat as Holland Park transforms into pop-up water park during one of the most popular events of the summer on Saturday, July 22 featuring giant waterslides, a mini-monsoon area for little ones, live entertainment, and more presented by Centier Bank 

This year’s event will offer an early access option, where attendees can purchase the $20 wristband to experience a smaller crowd and shorter wait times at waterslides and activities from 11 a.m. to noon, limited to the first 500 registrants. Early access also grants you access to the free portion of the event from noon to 3 p.m. If you are not purchasing the early access wristband, the event is free and begins at noon. Trails & Greenways & White River Park Surveys

The City of Fishers is seeking public input on the new Fishers White River Park and future plans to develop a better-connected network of trails and greenways throughout Fishers via community-wide surveys and events throughout summer.     FFD Cul-de-sac Drills

    The Fishers Fire Department is excited to return to the cul-de-sacs, for a second season of neighborhoods meeting firefighters one on one. Firefighters will pull out hose, spray water, and give little and big kids alike an opportunity to handle the hose line or just run through the spray.     Geist Waterfront Park & Fishers SmartPass

    The Geist Waterfront Park is a 70-acre waterfront property located at 10811 Olio Road, near 111th Street and the east side of Olio Road. To learn more about the park, please click here. 

    The Fishers SmartPass will give residents access to Fishers amenities like the Geist Waterfront Park. The new park will require SmartPass access to enter, so register today at fishers.in.us/SmartPass.

    Geist Half Marathon Registration

    Be a part of this year’s extra special Geist Half Marathon and 5k on Saturday, September 16. The race will feature the 13.1-mile race in addition to a 5-kilometer race, with optional VIP registration and volunteer opportunities.     The free concert series continues with performances at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater on Tuesday evenings.

    Fishers Farmers Markets

    The Fishers Farmers Market, presented by IU Health Fishers, is back every Saturday at the NPD AMP from 8 a.m. to noon. The market showcases vendors from Central Indiana that offer fresh produce, baked goods, honey, specialty food items, meats, coffee, plants, and more.   

    The Fishers Farmers Market at Saxony, presented by IU Health Fishers, takes place every Wednesday from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. through August 30. Learn more at playfishers.com/FarmersMarket.
