Ways to Give Back this Holiday Season
With Thanksgiving marking the unofficial start of the holiday season, the excitement (and chaos) of the holidays is underway. Between the gift shopping, cookie baking, and memory making, it can be hard to find time to slow down and reflect on how lucky we truly are. Many organizations and families need our help more than ever, so make giving back part of your family’s holiday tradition.
Through December 16, drop off your letters to Santa in the special mailboxes located at the Nickel Plate Trail swings near 116th Street and the Fishers Parks HQ at Hub & Spoke. Include your address and you’ll receive a reply from St. Nick! Can’t drop off in person? Email Santa through Friday, December 23 at firstname.lastname@example.org. Learn more here.
Christmas Tree Recycling
Fishers offers a free Tree Recycling program, where residents can drop off bare, live trees through February 1 at one of several park locations throughout the city. Learn more here.
