The leaves are starting to change and the temperatures are finally dropping, which means fall is officially here! It’s no secret that autumn is my absolute favorite time of year. I would consider myself an expert on the subject, and there is definitely plenty of festive fall fun in Fishers! That’s why I’ve created this Fishers Fall Bucket List. Whether you are looking for a fall date idea or something fun to do for the whole family this list will have something for you on it.

The Apple Store at Conner Prairie

No, not that Apple Store. The Apple Store at Conner Prairie has real apples-and plenty of them! I remember hearing that a visit to the Apple Store was a fall-must-do as far back as elementary school. It is not fall until you’ve stopped in for a hand-dipped caramel apple, apple fritter, and a cider slushie.

They also offer a variety of other items to purchase in the store including candy and holiday decor, as well as taking special orders for gift baskets, gourmet dipped apples, and specialty items for work parties, birthdays, and other celebrations. You do not need tickets to Conner Prairie to shop at the store, and it does have its own entrance.

APPLE STORE HOURS:

Wednesdays through Sundays until October 31: Noon to 5 p.m.

During Headless Horseman evenings, the store will close at 5 p.m. and re-open from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m..

The Apple Store is the Conner Prairie Alliance’s primary fundraiser with proceeds supporting the mission and programs of Conner Prairie.

Headless Horseman

While we are on the topic of Conner Prairie, there is no way I could put together a fall bucket list without Headless Horseman. This timeless classic has been around as long as I can remember (no really, I attended the event as a kid!), and it is always such a blast at any age!

Headless Horseman at Conner Prairie is so much more than just a hayride with a horseman that is missing a head. It is an entire fall festival complete with hayrides, corn mazes, spooky shows and storytelling, fortune telling, Monster Mini Golf, a live DJ, and more! There are also a variety of food and beverage options including elephant ears, root beer floats, pork tenderloin sandwiches, soft pretzels, popcorn, cotton candy, and more. You can also stop by their Sleepy Hollow Tavern for Sun King beer or cocktails if you are 21+.

Thursdays through Sundays, October 7 through 30, 2021

6 p.m. – 10 p.m.
