Okay 2022, show me what you got! If you’re like me, every new year (or month, really), is a reminder to focus on my intentions. I intend to make my kids my number one priority. I intend to get a routine in place to manage household chores. I intend….to get healthier. I will never make “lose weight” one of my resolutions, but I think we could all refocus on upping our vegetable intake and cutting out the sweets after the holiday season comes to an end. But life is busy. Maybe family is still in town, maybe you have a date night or work dinner coming up, and you’re going to have to eat out right after you promised yourself you’d make some serious changes. Lucky for you, I’ve gathered up a few places around Fishers where you can dine and still stay on track with your goals.

1.) Blaze Pizza

I had to start with pizza, didn’t I? I know, there are serious temptations here, but I put this one first because you can order healthy without making anyone else in your party sacrifice. Since all of the pizzas are individual size, everyone can get what they want. The kids can get extra cheese, your boss can get meat lovers, but you can still get a surprisingly healthy meal here. With crust options like gluten-free, keto, and even cauliflower, Blaze can accommodate most diets. Their regular crust and red sauce are vegan, and they even have vegan cheese and chorizo. So you can pick whatever crust fits your goals, pile on the veggies, skip the cheese (if you dare), and you have a hot and crispy pie full of flavor. My order is vegan crust with red sauce, spinach, red onion, mushroom, and roasted garlic – sprinkled with sea salt and oregano! Divine.

2.) Bibibop

Have you tried this place yet? If not, think Chipotle meets Korean/Asian Fusion. You pick your base from a variety of rice, noodles, or greens, pile on your choice of vegetable toppings, select your protein (including tofu), and then sauce it up! It’s easy to let your eyes get ahead of your calorie budget, so I highly suggest building your bowl online before you go so you can keep a running total of the calories and make smart decisions on your bowl. My go-to order is a small bowl of super green salad, with corn, cucumber, carrots, pickled cabbage, and sesame kale with tofu for protein and drizzled with spicy sriracha and sesame oil (which rings in just under 500 calories).

3.) Clean Juice

I’m going to guess you’ve seen this place in downtown Fishers, but if you haven’t had the chance to stop in, you should! They have online ordering which makes it super convenient to swing through and grab your order while out doing errands, between meetings, or even after a workout. They have everything – sandwiches, wraps, salads, açaí bowls, toasts, smoothies, juices, oh my! Whether you’re vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, nut-free, or soy-free, they can accommodate you. The Garden Wrap is my favorite way to get those veggies on the go, and I pair it with a Wakeup One juice for a little zing.

4.) Clustertruck

You know when one co-worker wants tacos, another wants a burger, and you’re stuck in the middle just trying to make smarter mealtime decisions? That’s where Clustertruck can be super helpful. It’s got everything from pizza to pad thai and, yes, even healthy options! Depending on what your priorities and restrictions are, I can highly recommend the Mahi Tacos, Korean BBQ Salmon, and the Salmon & Roasted Veggies. If you’re looking for a vegan, veggie-packed meal, the Spiced Chickpea Wrap is your winner. Check out their menu because it is HUGE and sure to please meat-eaters, kids, and veggie lovers alike. Plus online ordering and to-your-door delivery makes it ultra-easy.

5.) Clean Eatz

I saved the mecca for last. This is an incredible 3-in-1 concept business, covering meal prep & delivery, grab-and-go pre-made meals, and a made-to-order cafe. There is so much goodness here that I don’t even know where to start. You can order your meal prep for the week, based on a set menu- but they are willing to work WITH you, creating what you need for macros or dietary restrictions as well. That’s a feature I have NEVER seen in meal prep companies before. And their prices are by far the cheapest. Then you have the grab-and-go freezers. When you walk in, you’ll be shocked by the huge coolers of frozen meal prep-style meals that you can purchase and throw in your bag for lunch or a meal on the go. And then the restaurant part. My, oh my. I recently had the opportunity to sample a ton of dishes from the cafe menu and I was really impressed. I tried things I wouldn’t normally have ordered and I actually found my all-time favorite item from here: the G.O.A.T. Wrap. The spice, the sweet, the creamy, the crunch! Man, it all works together to form a great combination. A few other favorites include the Buffalo Cauliflower and the Tropical Bombshell Smoothie.

Next time you find yourself needing to eat out, consider these options to stay on track with your health goals. They all have veggie-packed options and can cater to a variety of diets and restrictions. I hope these suggestions have helped you – or made you hungry! Now how will I decide which of these tempting meals to get for dinner??
