NPT Lights
The Nickel Plate Trail will transform into a twinkling wonderland for the NPT Night Lights, presented by Centier Bank. This free light display is located along the downtown portion of the trail. The event will host live music and food trucks on December 1, 2, and 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. Learn more at playfishers.com/nptlights.
Angel of Hope Candlelight Ceremony
Fishers Parks Foundation will host the fourth annual Angel of Hope Candlelight Ceremony at Heritage Park (10598 Eller Road) on Wednesday, December 6, to remember lost children. The Ambassador House will be open at 6:15 p.m. with a candlelight procession to the Angel of Hope Memorial Garden and the reading of names will begin at 7 p.m. Learn more at fishersparks.org.
Santa’s Mailbox
Drop off your letters to Santa from now through Friday, December 15 in the special mailboxes located on the Nickel Plate Trail near the swings and Ambassador House (10598 Eller Road). Neighborhood Vibrancy & Matching Grants Now Open!
In prioritizing the sustainability of our neighborhoods, the City’s 2024 budget allocates $750K for Neighborhood Vibrancy Grants to fund projects related to entrance upgrades, pond maintenance, greenspace maintenance, sidewalk connections, and community spaces, within our residential neighborhoods. A change from last year is that the City of Fishers will now also fund 80% of the project cost up to $25,000, requiring participants to contribute just 20% of the total. Accepting Nominations for 2024 Inclusion & Accessibility Awards
Residents and businesses can nominate community members for the Fishers Advisory Committee on Disability’s annual awards. The 2024 award categories include Life Without Limits Award, Cornerstore Employer Limits, and 2024 Accessibility Award. Arts & Culture Grant Applications Are Open
The City of Fishers and Fishers Arts & Culture Commission are accepting applications for the Fishers Arts & Culture Commission Grant that invests in artists, art organizations, and cultural events that promote creativity, vibrancy, and a sense of place within the community. Artists, creative companies, nonprofits, and for-profit businesses in Fishers can apply. Applications are due December 15.
The City also launched a new Fishers Arts & Culture Commission Business Matching Grant for businesses and organizations to partner with the Commission for the installation of public art on their property. Learn more at www.fishers.in.us/Matching-Grants.
