National Night Out

The Fishers Police Department is hosting an open house to celebrate National Night Out on Tuesday, August 1 from 5 to 7 p.m. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes strong police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live and work. Many neighborhoods celebrate the end of summer with block parties, cookouts, and other various events. Before the Bell

Before the Bell is back for the second year, taking place on Thursday, August 3 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the NPD Amphitheater! Get ready to head back to school with Hamilton Southeastern School District. All schools will be in attendance, along with some of our area partners. This is a great opportunity to learn more about HSE, network with other families, and get excited about the upcoming school year! There will be face painting, inflatables, a school bus to hop in, student performances, and so much more. Find more details about the event here.

Club Day at the Fishers Farmers Market

As a part of our ongoing efforts to create a stigma free city, Club Day is designed to encourage residents to explore local clubs and build social connectedness within our community. Joining a club offers the opportunity to meet and form relationships to better individuals’ mental health and fight isolation. Head out to the Fishers Farmers Market from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, August 19.

Trails & Greenways Openhouse

Stop by our open house on Thursday, August 24 from 4 – 7 p.m. at Hub & Spoke (8100 East 106th Street, Suite 260) to provide feedback on proposed routes and facility types for Fishers trails and greenways.  Learn more at fishers.in.us/trails.

New Hours at Geist Waterfront Park

The Geist Waterfront Park is a 70-acre waterfront property located at 10811 Olio Road, near 111th Street and the east side of Olio Road. Beginning Monday, August 14 beach hours will operate 4 – 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. These hours will be in effect until Labor Day. The park will be open on Labor Day from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. To learn more about the park, please click here. 

The Fishers SmartPass will give residents access to Fishers amenities like the Geist Waterfront Park. The new park will require SmartPass access to enter, so register today at fishers.in.us/SmartPass.

Register or Volunteer for Geist Half Marathon

Be a part of this year’s extra special Geist Half Marathon and 5k on Saturday, September 16. The race will feature the 13.1-mile race in addition to a 5-kilometer race, with optional VIP registration and volunteer opportunities. Register today at geisthalf.com and be sure to follow Geist Half Marathon on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

FFD Cul-de-sac Drills

The Fishers Fire Department is excited to return to the cul-de-sacs, for a second season of neighborhoods meeting firefighters one on one. Firefighters will pull out hose, spray water, and give little and big kids alike an opportunity to handle the hose line or just run through the spray. Blues Fest

The 11th Annual Fishers Blues Fest will be taking place on Friday and Saturday, September 1 and 2. The Nickel Plate District Amphitheater will host local, regional, and world-renowned blues musicians this Labor Day weekend. Both nights are free, and no tickets are required. Chairs, blankets, and coolers are welcome, but no outside alcohol.
