When walking into St. Yared Ethiopian Cuisine & Coffeehaus, guests are immediately greeted by vibrant colors, beautiful artwork, and cheerful faces. Roughly five years ago, owners Haile and Etenesh Abebe were hoping to inject their culture into the Fishers community. That dream led to the opening St. Yared, a one-stop location to enjoy fresh coffee, teas and delicious cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere.

“In Ethiopian culture, religion, and food are both incredibly important,” explained owner, Etenesh Abebe. “We serve food cooked from scratch and exactly as in our home. Not only our home here in Fishers but in the heartland of Axum,” explained Haile Abebe. “Our restaurant invites guests to share taste like no other on the planet and the sanctity of sharing a meal.”

Though housed in one location, St. Yared includes Global Village Coffee, which features organic and fresh Ethiopian coffee and spiced teas, alongside the restaurant with full-service bar. With weekday lunch and dinner along with an early morning opening for coffee, there’s truly no bad time to stop by.

Hours at St. Yared vary, so be sure to connect with them on social media to ensure they’re open when you plan to attend.
