Back in October, Fishers held an apparel design contest for residents to design a logo that Fishers residents would feel proud to wear. The design had to evoke the feeling of hometown pride for all ages and residents, and Breanne Rose did just that with her design.
Breanne is an aspiring graphic artist and she decided to enter because she thought it would be a cool way to be involved in the Fishers community and work on her graphic design skills. She gained her experience in design primarily from being the Creative Arts Coordinator for five years at her church, Fishers Point Community Church, where she’s helped with bulletins, newsletters, social media graphics, and even a few t-shirts.
“I saw this opportunity and I thought it was a cool way to do something for my community,” she said. “I had some experience under my belt, and this was a way to showcase that.”
Breanne’s inspiration was the message she came up with, love where you live, and she wanted to showcase this as the focal point of the shirt. Typography design is her favorite type to work with, because she loves the simplistic and modern looks she can create with it.
Check out the brand-new City of Fishers Apparel Store to purchase Breanne’s design on a t-shirt as well as other unique Fishers swag.
