City Recycling Day

The City of Fishers’ Spring City Recycling Day returns on Saturday, March 5 from 8 AM – 1 PM at Billericay Park. Residents can recycle electronics and household electronic or metal items, and paper recycling and off-site confidential document shredding are also available.

March Disability Awareness Month

The annual March Disability Awareness Month celebration, hosted by the Fishers Advisory Committee on Disability and presented by Old National Bank, features a series of special events and initiatives throughout the city. For details and a full event lineup, visit

The celebration includes the return of the Ally campaign, which invites residents to become advocates for disability inclusion. Virtual toolkits, now available at, include information on how to be an Ally; a language guide and FAQ; social media graphics; Zoom backgrounds; and an Ally pledge.

Nickel Plate Trail Update

We are excited to open the downtown portion of the trail, including the tunnel underneath 116th Street, this spring! As a reminder, paving has been completed on the portions of the trail between 146th Street and North Street, and South Street to 106th Street.

The City of Fishers has recently applied for funding, through the Next Level Trail Grant, to pave the trail section from 96th Street to 106th Street, and to provide funding for Indianapolis and Noblesville to complete their segments. We expect to receive notice of the status of that application this spring. Learn more at

Vietnam War Veterans Day

The City of Fishers, a proud Commemorative Partner of the Vietnam War Commemoration, will celebrate National Vietnam War Veterans Day with a free public ceremony from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29 at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater (6 Municipal Drive). The program will honor veterans and their families who served during the Vietnam War period and will include a Vietnam Veteran’s lapel pin presentation. Learn more at

Join the City of Fishers as we Keep Fishers Beautiful this April with volunteer opportunities, community stories, and sustainability resources for residents. Help us Keep Fishers Beautiful with community park cleanups, tree plantings, and more. All ages are welcome, as well as individuals and groups of all sizes! Free AV Shuttle Available

Fishers’ Together In Motion autonomous shuttle service, operated by May Mobility, arrived in the downtown Nickel Plate Cultural District on December 20!  This free, driverless shuttle service operates on a fixed route throughout downtown Fishers on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The shuttle is also available on demand. Free Yoga Wednesdays
