MLK Day & Community-Wide Food Drive

With local food pantries experiencing an increase in demand and a decrease in supply after the holidays, the City of Fishers will host a community-wide food drive as part of the National Day of Service on MLK Day, January 15. Bins are currently out around the city to donate food to. Find your nearest location and acceptable items here: ThisIsFishers.com/MLK.

Give back on the National Day of Service by checking out volunteering opportunities at VolunteerFishers.com.

Stop by Fishers Maker Playground from January 8 – 12 to make an MLK yard sign and drop by the Kindness Rock painting event on January 15 from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. at Holland and Billericay Parks.

Snow Fight

Fishers DPW works hard to keep our roads safe during winter weather events. You can help the Fishers Snow Fight team before a snowstorm by moving parked cars and basketball goals from streets, shoveling snow away from fire hydrants, and clearing storm drains of leaves, snow, ice, and other debris. Don’t forget to give snowplows extra room on the roads during a snow event. Learn more at fishers.in.us/snow.
