
In honor of National Volunteer Month, Fishers will celebrate the dedicated volunteers and individuals who have donated their time and talent to our community with a month-long celebration. Nominations are now open for the 2021 City of Service Awards, this year featuring new, community-nominated awards. Nominations are due Monday, March 8.
Winners will be selected by the Fishers City Council through a blind process, and will be recognized during the month of April with a virtual celebration (more info coming soon).
Awards include:
- Essential Worker of the Year
Awarded to Fishers and non-Fishers residents deemed as Essential Workers (see who qualifies here) that have performed exceptional service to the Fishers community during the COVID-19 crisis in the year 2020. - Community Servant of the Year
The purpose of this award is to honor a Fishers resident who may not be affiliated with a group or organizations, but regularly conducted acts of kindness to serve the Fishers community and neighbors in the year 2020. - Non-Profit Staffer of the Year
The purpose of this award is to honor a Fishers non-profit staff member who went above and beyond their non-profit staff duties and has had a significant impact on community at large in the year 2020. Nominees for this award can be Fishers or non-Fishers Residents working for a non-profit organization that has made a major impact on the Fishers community.
