Hello, Fishers! I’m Adam Wagner, experience coordinator with Fishers Parks. We are gearing up for our Glow in the Park event this Saturday, September 18. This is one of our biggest and most popular events.

We turn our Nickel Plate District Amphitheater into a dance party featuring a local DJ, emcee, dance performances by 31Svn Street Dance Academy, and lots of ultraviolet paint sprayed into the crowd. With some new additions and attractions, this year’s Glow in the Park is a can’t-miss event.

Here are 5 things to check out at Glow in the Park:

1.) The Splash Areas

This year will include two splash areas: the main stage splash area and our new sensory-friendly splash area near the Pavilion. This new splash area will offer groups a socially distanced experience farther from the music and lights but still offering all of the ultraviolet paint SPLASH!

2.) Face Painting Tents

Be sure to check out our face painting tents from 7 to 9 p.m. to get a fun face painting before the paint splash begins!

3.) Vortex Trailer

Watch your step! This trailer offers the chance to experience a spinning tunnel with UV lights inside.

4.) Slip ‘n Slides

Slip and slide under the lights (and wash off some paint before you leave!) with two slip ‘n slides during the event.

5.) Mobile Skatepark

Grab a board and enjoy the beats! We are setting up our mobile skatepark and offering a chance to try it out before and during the event. The skatepark will be open from 7 -10:30 p.m. Don’t have a board? No problem! Skateboards and pads will be available. Minus Skate Shop will also be onsite, so be sure to stop by and say hi!
