I’m Sarah Sandquist, Director of Fishers Parks. Fishers has 24 parks spread throughout the City, ranging in size and function from pocket parks like Cheeney Creek Nature Area to larger parks like Holland Park and Brooks School Park. Each park has its own character and there is something for everyone!
Tucked away on the east side of Fishers, Flat Fork Creek Park (16141 E 101st Street) is the perfect place to escape the busyness of the season and unplug in nature. The park, located at 101st Street and Cyntheanne Road, is just over 60 acres and boasts unique and diverse amenities and activities for every age, ability, and interest.
Here are 5 reasons you should visit Flat Fork Creek Park!
1. The Sledding Hill
The tallest point in Hamilton County is not just for winter activities. The accessible path to the top is challenging yet rewarding when you make it to the top.
2. The Treehouses
Three treehouses are available to observe wildlife or enjoy scenic views of Flat Fork Creek.

3. The Trails
Beginner and experienced mountain bikers will enjoy the progressive 1.25 mile course that loops through the woods and includes various ramps and technical features. Hikers can also enjoy a mix of paved and unpaved trails running throughout the park.
4. Creek Stomping
What is creek stomping? Find a creek and stomp in it! Also, you can toss sticks in the water, build dams with rocks, skip stones, and search for crawdads.

5. Fishing Pond
Drop a line and enjoy a day of fishing in the stocked pond. Don’t forget your state fishing license and all Fishers’ ponds are catch and release.
While there are many more than just 5 reasons to visit any Fishers Park, I hope this list inspires you to visit Flat Fork Creek Park soon!
Sarah Sandquist is the Director of Fishers Parks and has been with the department since 2018. She loves bringing her two sons to Fishers Parks and special events like concerts and the Farmers’ Market. Her favorite park is Roy G. Holland Park, although the new AgriPark might knock Holland out of 1st place! In her spare time, she enjoys running, cooking, and spending time with her family.
