Explore the Nickel Plate Trail

The downtown portion of the Fishers’ Nickel Plate Trail is now open, including the pedestrian tunnel beneath 116th Street, allowing users to travel from 106th Street to 146th Street. Find ways to discover the trail below and learn more at playfishers.com/NickelPlateTrail:

Fishers Farmers Market

The Fishers Farmers Market, presented by IU Health Fishers, is back every Saturday at the NPD AMP from 8 a.m. to noon. The market showcases vendors from Central Indiana that offer fresh produce, baked goods, honey, specialty food items, meats, coffee, plants, and more.  

New this year, you can shop the market twice a week! The Fishers Farmers Market at Saxony, presented by IU Health Fishers, takes place every Wednesday from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. through September 28. Learn more at playfishers.com/FarmersMarket.

Fishers Health Department’s Walk About Health  

Join Fishers Health Department, Community Health Network, and Fishers Parks for June’s Walk About Health monthly series with health specialists at parks across the city. This month’s walk Pre-Exercise Warm-up and Sport Specific Strengthening on Monday, June 6 at 2 p.m. at Billericay Park. Learn more at fishers.in.us/WalkAboutHealth.

Water Amenities Open 

The free splash pads at Holland Park and Billericay Park and the fountain at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater Pavilion are open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. (weather permitting) through Labor Day.  

Saxony Lake and Beach is open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. through August 1 (limited weekday and weekend hours in August). Entry is free for Fishers residents and $7 for nonresidents. Visitors can fill out the online waiver before arriving and learn more at playfishers.com/WaterAmenities.

Summer Concerts at the NPD AMP

The free concert series includes performances at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater on Tuesday evenings starting on June 7, presented by IU Health Fishers, and Wednesday lunchtime concerts on Central Green starting on June 1, presented by Meyer Najem. The summer lineup also includes ticketed Friday night shows in partnership with MOKB Presents from the following national touring bands: 

  • June 18 – Houndmouth 
  • July 16 – Colony House with Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers  
  • August 5 – Waxahatchee with Liam Kazar 
  • August 19 – The Main Squeeze (with special guests TBA) 
  • August 27 – Lawrence

Community Meetup Tent

Looking to meet new people in the community? Want to learn more about what’s going on around Fishers from those who work, live, and play here? Join Fishers’ Community Ambassadors—residents who love this city and want to help you get connected— at the Community Meetup Tent at the free Tuesday night concerts in June. Grab a lawn chair, meet fellow residents, and enjoy music with new friends at Fishers Community Concerts, every Tuesday night in June from 7 to 9 p.m. at the NPD AMP. Look for the blue Community Meetup Tent opening at 6 p.m. every Tuesday. No RSVP is required, just swing by and say hello!  Learn more.

Development Dashboard 

The City of Fishers Planning and Zoning Department has launched a new Development Dashboard where you can view all development projects that are under construction and in the process of being reviewed throughout the city. Find updates, permit renderings, project renderings, and more on the dashboard.

Spark!Fishers

The annual, week-long festival, ignited by First Internet Bank, will take over downtown from Tuesday, June 21, through Saturday, June 25! This year’s celebration kicks off with a concert on Tuesday, June 21, and continues all week before wrapping up with a festival on Saturday, June 25 at the Municipal Complex featuring a parade, multiple stages of live music, food, drink, and artisan vendors, art displays, kids and teen zones, fireworks, and so much more.
