Sesquicentennial Trail: Geist Marina

    11695 Fall Creek Road

In 1941, the Indianapolis Water Company created Geist Reservoir to increase the water storage capabilities of Indianapolis. The reservoir is named for Clarence H Geist, the former owner of the Indianapolis Water Company. The marina was founded in 1986 after real estate development began around the reservoir. Today, the 1,800-acre lake is a residential and recreational area of Fishers.
